HENDERSON, Nev. (September 28, 2019) – The College of Southern Nevada volleyball team suffered a conference loss Saturday to Snow College in a conference home opener.
The Lady Coyotes fell to No. 6 Snow by a score of 3-0, falling 21-25, 12-25, 20-25. The outcome drops CSN's overall record to 4-11 and 0-1 in the Scenic West Athletic Conference.
Snow took early control in the match but CSN battled back to cut a first-set deficit to 23-20. However, Snow closed out the set from there and also controlled the second set. The two teams battled back-and-forth in the third set - with CSN cutting the deficit to 19-18 - but once more, Snow was able to take control by closing the match on a 6-2 run.
Olivia Curtis led the Lady Coyotes with a team-high 7 kills, while
Taurie Magee,
Riley Froman and
Danielle Bryson all finished with 5 kills.
Laityn Sarna led CSN with 19 assists.
Tylee Fuller had 13 digs.
CSN will host both the College of Southern Idaho and No. 9 Salt Lake Community College next weekend in Scenic West matches. Thursday's match against CSI is 'Vegas Strong' night, while Saturday's match is the 'Dig Pink-Side Out Foundation' match.
