HENDERSON, Nev. (November 4, 2021) – The 2021-22 season is off to a strong start for the College of Southern Nevada Women's Basketball team.
CSN earned a strong 76-54 win over Western Wyoming to open the 'Silver State Schools Credit Union Basketball Invitational', powering to the non-conference win. Southern Nevada is now 1-0 overall.
The Lady Coyotes jumped out to an early lead, taking a 14-11 lead after the first quarter. CSN then took advantage in the second quarter, outscoring Western Wyoming 23-14 in the period to take a 37-25 lead at halftime. Southern Nevada held a 59-41 lead at the end of the third quarter.
Sharmayne Finley led CSN with 18 points, while
Tyra Perkins posted 13 points on 4-of-6 shooting.
Destiny Brown scored 12 points, while
Samantha Greene had 10 points.
CSN will play Phoenix College on Friday at 7:00 p.m. The teams will play Basic Academy High School.
