HENDERSON, Nev. (November 7, 2021) – The College of Southern Nevada Women's Basketball program closed out a strong opening weekend performance with another impressive victory Saturday.
 
CSN, playing in the final game of the 'Silver State Schools Credit Union Basketball Invitational', earned a 74-42 win over South Mountain Community College at Basic Prep High School. The Lady Coyotes are now 3-0 with the win.
 
Southern Nevada jumped out early, taking a 20-9 lead at the end of the first quarter and a 33-19 lead at halftime. CSN limited SMCC to just 24.6 percent shooting (16-of-65), and just 4-of-32 from three-point range.
 
Sharmayne Finley scored 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting, while Destiny Brown scored 16 points. Ariana Grimes posted 9 points in the win.
 
Southern Nevada will host Arizona Western on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. at Basic Academy High School.
