NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (December 1, 2021) – The College of Southern Nevada Women's Basketball team put on an impressive display of energy in its Scenic West Athletic Conference opener Wednesday.
 
CSN posted a dominant 91-40 win over Community Christian College at Democracy Prep, leading 45-28 at halftime and never looking back. The victory boosts the Lady Coyotes to 5-4 overall, with a mark of 1-0 in Scenic West play.
 
Southern Nevada played well offensively from the get-go, shooting 62.5 percent in the first quarter to jump out to an early lead. Where CSN took complete control was in the third quarter, as the Lady Coyotes held Community Christian to an 0-of-12 performance from the field as part of a 22-1 scoring quarter.
 
Sharmayne Finley led Southern Nevada with 22 points on 10-of-14 shooting, while Destiny Brown scored 18 points. Other double-digit scorers for CSN included Samantha Greene and Tyra Perkins, who both scored 12 points. 
 
Southern Nevada will host Colorado Northwestern on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
