HENDERSON, Nev. (December 11, 2021) – The College of Southern Nevada Men's Basketball team lost a tough Scenic West Athletic Conference home game Saturday.
CSN dropped a 77-52 decision against USU Eastern, falling behind early and never recovering momentum in the home loss. The Coyotes are now 6-6 overall and 2-2 in Scenic West play.
USU Eastern held a narrow lead at halftime, 31-25, before turning on the offensive burners in the second half by outscoring CSN, 46-27. USU Eastern shot 72 percent from the floor in the second half, compared to Southern Nevada's 39.29 percent (11-of-28).
John Jenkins led Southern Nevada in points, scoring 13 points and going 6-of-6 from the field.
Darren Jones also finished in double figures, posting 11 points.
Southern Nevada will host Southern Idaho in a home game Thursday at Democracy Prep, then take its annual holiday break prior to an Arizona-based tournament that begins on Dec. 27.
