HENDERSON, Nev. (December 11, 2021) – Another tough loss was the end result for the College of Southern Nevada Women's Basketball team in a matchup with a prospective Scenic West Athletic Conference contender Saturday.
The Lady Coyotes lost in a game at USU Eastern, falling 79-60. CSN is now 6-6 overall and 2-2 in Scenic West play.
Both teams were competitive throughout the first half, with USU Eastern holding a 38-31 lead at halftime. Defense played a strong role in USU Eastern's victory, with the Lady Eagles holding CSN to just 36.6 percent shooting and just 2-of-19 from three-point range.
Sharmayne Finley led Southern Nevada with 19 points, while
Destiny Brown scored 17 points. Brown had a double-double, also posting 10 rebounds.
Southern Nevada will host the College of Southern Idaho on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. in a Scenic West game. The game will be played at Democracy Prep.
