Taylorsville, UT. (February 13, 2021) – The College of Southern Nevada men's basketball team ran into a buzzsaw Saturday, finishing a three-game road with a nationally-ranked opponent.
The Coyotes led at halftime, falling 89-67 to No. 3 Salt Lake Community College in their best performance of the season. The losses drop Southern Nevada to 0-3 overall.
Southern Nevada jumped out to a 36-33 halftime lead over the defending Scenic West Athletic Conference champions, holding SLCC to 34 percent shooting in the first half. The tables turned in the second half, with Salt Lake holding the Coyotes to 36 percent shooting (9-of-25) while outscoring CSN 56-31.
Dominique Ford finished with 19 points to lead Southern Nevada, while
Amari James scored 9 points.
Jairus Dickson posted 8 points.
Southern Nevada will take to the road once again next week, traveling to play a pair of games against Colorado Northwestern Community College.
