EPHRAIM, UT. (February 9, 2021) – The start of a new era in the College of Southern Nevada Athletics came Tuesday, with the CSN Women's Basketball program making an exciting return to the court..
Unfortunately for the Lady Coyotes, the excitement of the day didn't match the final result, with CSN falling 81-44 to nationally-ranked Snow College in the program's Scenic West Athletic Conference opener. Southern Nevada trailed early and never recovered momentum throughout the game.
Sharmayne Finely led the Lady Coyotes with 15 points, while Giuliana Carinegella and
Tyra Perkins both posted 6 points apiece.
Destiny Byrd and
Coraly Dupree scored 5 points each.
Dupree scored the program's first points, scoring on a layup to tie the game at 2-2 with 8:20 left in the first quarter.
The Lady Coyotes will travel to play Southern Idaho Thursday.
