HENDERSON, Nev. (March 16, 2021) - The programs of the College of Southern Nevada Athletic Department are all well into Scenic West Athletic Conference play, with several programs mere weeks from ending their regular seasons.

The Coyotes and Lady Coyotes have a full-slate of action this weekend, with CSN Men's-and-Women's Basketball hosting three games with Snow College and USU Eastern at the CSN Sports Center. No. 16 CSN Baseball will also host Colorado Northwestern in a four-game series at Morse Stadium this weekend.

Baseball: After taking a week off, the No. 16 CSN Baseball team will return to the diamond at Morse Stadium this weekend, hosting a four-game series with Colorado Northwestern Community College.

The Coyotes are 18-6 overall with a mark of 3-1 in the Scenic West, placing them near the top of the league's standings. The series will start with a single game on Thursday, with first pitch scheduled for 6:00 p.m. CSN and CNCC will play a doubleheader on Friday, with a single game concluding the series on Saturday.

Nick Garritano said his team is excited to return to the field.

"We fortunately had a bye week this past weekend," he said. "We feel we desperately needed that bye as we have been really banged up. We are looking forward to resuming SWAC play this weekend against a tough CNCC club."

Men's Basketball: CSN will play host to one of the Scenic West's traditional powers this week in a rare back-to-back in the league schedule, hosting Snow College.

The Coyotes and Badgers will play a Tuesday-Wednesday series, with the game on Tuesday starting at 7:00 p.m. inside the CSN Sports Center. Southern Nevada went 0-3 last week, falling in a trio of road games. The week will conclude with a home game against USU Eastern on Saturday.

CSN is scheduled to finish the regular season on March 30.

Softball: After splitting in a home series with Snow College last weekend, the CSN softball program is headed out on the road to play at Colorado Northwestern this weekend.

The Lady Coyotes will play a four-game series with Colorado Northwestern, playing doubleheaders on Friday and Saturday. After losing their first two games against Snow last weekend, CSN earned a doubleheader sweep on Saturday.

Ashley Johnston said her team is learning more about Scenic West play each week.

"We know that this is a hitting league," she said. "Our pitchers are finding that out the hard way, but feel that we can compete with anyone in this league. The girls just have to continue to work in all areas of the game and continue to get stronger each and every day. We will be hitting the road this week for Colorado and hoping to bounce back from a 2-2 weekend with Snow."

Volleyball: CSN Volleyball will be on the road this week, playing a pair of matches against nationally-ranked Snow College.

The Lady Coyotes will face off against the No. 3 Lady Badgers in matches on Friday and Saturday in Ephraim, setting up for the final week of the regular season next week. Southern Nevada will play four matches on the road to conclude the regular season.

Women's Basketball: Southern Nevada will enjoy a rare week of home cooking with a three-game series inside the CSN Sports Center.

CSN will play Snow College on Tuesday and Wednesday, concluding the week with games against USU Eastern on Saturday. CSN will have two weeks remaining of the regular season after the dates.Â
