CSN Women's Basketball narrowly falls to Colorado Northwestern

HENDERSON, Nev. (March 27, 2021) - The College of Southern Nevada women's basketball team lost a heartbreaking game at home Saturday.
 
CSN dropped an 86-82 decision to Colorado Northwestern Community College on 'Sophomore Night' at CSN Sports Center, allowing a late run by the Lady Spartans that ended their hopes at victory. The loss drops CSN to 0-13 on the season and in Scenic West Athletic Conference play. 
 
Southern Nevada jumped out to a 20-10 lead after the first quarter, holding a 40-28 lead at halftime. The Lady Coyotes added to the lead in the third quarter before allowing a 38-20 run by CNCC in the fourth quarter to wrestle victory away.
 
Sharmayne Finely led CSN with 35 points on 12-of-23 shooting, while Tyra Perkins posted 17 points. Giuliana Caringella scored 14 points.
 
Southern Nevada will close the season at USU Eastern on Tuesday.
