HENDERSON, Nev. (September 16, 2021) – The College of Southern Nevada Athletic Department will have a light week this week, coming after several frenetic weeks of preseason competition.
 
Only the CSN Men's-and-Women's Soccer programs will compete this week, with both programs playing Saturday at home against Community Christian College. CSN Volleyball and CSN Cross Country will have bye weeks.

Men's Soccer: The Coyotes played well in a weekend road trip last week, earning a strong win at Snow College and placing in a tie against in-state rival Truckee Meadows.
 
Southern Nevada is still undefeated in Scenic West Athletic Conference play, with CSN holding a mark of 2-0-1. The Coyotes will host Community Christian College on Saturday, with the first-ever matchup between the new Scenic West foes taking place at 11:00 a.m. at Cristo Rey St. Viator.
 
CSN will play its next six matches at home.
 
Women's Soccer: The Lady Coyotes earned a thrilling win to close a Scenic West road trip last week, with hopes of carrying the momentum into a long homestand beginning Saturday.
 
CSN will face off against Community Christian College in their lone match of the week, coming off a 4-3 win over in-state rival Truckee Meadows last week. Southern Nevada is 2-1 in league play.
 
Lady Coyotes coach Jocelyn Roach said her team is focused on having intense practice sessions leading into the week.
 
"We will take practice sessions week-by-week, based on the games played and the opponent we face that week," she said. "I don't rely on film a whole lot but we do go back and watch certain parts of our game when we feel the need to address certain aspects of defense and goals scored against us. Fitness and conditioning are something that will always be part of training as we strive to have everyone able to play 90 minutes."
