HENDERSON, Nev. (September 23, 2021) - The College of Southern Nevada Volleyball program made the most of a bye week, earning a strong win to open Scenic West Athletic Conference play Thursday.

CSN earned a 3-0 sweep over Colorado Northwestern at home, winning by set scores of 25-18, 25-9, 25-12. Southern Nevada is now 4-8 overall and 1-0 in league play.

The Lady Coyotes dominated the match, holding CNCC to a hitting percentage of -.074. Overall, CSN's defense forced Colorado Northwestern into 21 errors. On the other hand, Southern Nevada's strong offensive numbers featured 33 kills and 15 aces, alongside a hitting percentage of .200.

Individual leaders for CSN started with
Elizabeth Gutierrez and
Natasha Obradovic, who both had eight kills. Obradovic posted 15 digs in the win, while Kayla Barker posted 28 assists.Â
