NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (January 19, 2022) – The College of Southern Nevada Men's Basketball team came up short in a Scenic West Athletic Conference home game with the nation's top team Wednesday.
Playing host to No. 1 Salt Lake Community College, the Coyotes fell in a 114-93 decision to the Bruins, who moved to 2-0 against CSN in the three-game season series with the victory. With the loss, CSN is now 9-12 overall and 3-6 in the Scenic West.
The Coyotes played well early, taking a 30-22 lead midway through the first half. SLCC responded well on offense from there, rolling to a 54-38 lead. CSN was efficient on offense in the loss, shooting 51.7 percent.
Dominique Ford led the Coyotes with 28 points, while
Darren Jones posted 23 points and 9 rebounds.
Kendrick Gilbert finished with 10 points.
The Coyotes will take to the road on Saturday, traveling to play at Colorado Northwestern.
