HENDERSON, Nev. (January 27, 2022) – The third time wasn't the charm for the College of Southern Nevada Men's Basketball team, at least in terms of matchups with a nationally-ranked Scenic West Athletic conference power.
CSN dropped a 102-77 game to No. 1 Salt Lake Community College Thursday, falling to 0-3 against the Bruins on the season. The Coyotes also fell to 4-7 in Scenic West play and 10-13 overall with the loss.
It was Southern Nevada who jumped out to an early lead in the game, thanks to shooting a sizzling 60 percent from the field in the first half (15-of-25). SLCC found its legs though later in the half, with the Bruins taking a 50-38 lead into halftime. CSN committed 23 turnovers in the game, which limited Southern Nevada's possessions later in the second half.
Darren Jones scored 28 points on 14-of-21 shooting, while
Nick Attanasio finished with 11 points.
Terrance Marigney posted a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds.
Southern Nevada will play at No. 22 Snow College on Saturday.
