HENDERSON, Nev. (December 19, 2022) – The College of Southern Nevada Women's Basketball team posted an impressive performance in the opening game of a home tournament. 

 
CSN opened its three-day stint hosting the 'Cannery Casino Holiday Basketball Invitational', facing off against Glendale Community College in the opener. The Lady Coyotes rolled by the Gauchos in the non-conference game Monday, earning a 55-42 victory to move to 3-6 overall.
 
Southern Nevada took an early lead, 16-11 after the first quarter, and then held on until going on a 16-6 run in the fourth quarter. The Lady Coyotes locked down Glendale defensively, holding the Gauchos to just 24.2 percent shooting and forcing 19 turnovers.
 
Paige Grant led CSN with 18 points and 17 rebounds, while Aaliyah Ibarra finished with 11 points. Lesieli Manupule had 10 points in the win. 
 
Southern Nevada will continue in the tournament Tuesday, hosting Dawson Community College at 5:30 p.m.
