HENDERSON, Nev. (December 2, 2022) – After a month of preseason play, the College of Southern Nevada Women's Basketball team is officially in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
CSN opened Scenic West play with a tight 65-60 loss against Snow College, taking a big early lead and falling late. Southern Nevada is now 2-4 overall and 0-1 in league play.
It was the Lady Coyotes who jumped out to a big lead after the first quarter, with CSN posting a 21-9 lead after the first quarter after Snow went just 2-of-11 in the quarter. Southern Nevada took a 33-26 halftime lead but then the Lady Badgers exerted their presence, outscoring CSN 39-27 in the second half to earn the win.
Southern Nevada went just 11-of-29 from three-point range, finishing with 25 turnovers.
Aaliyah Ibarra led the Lady Coyotes with 21 points, going 6-of-9 from three-point range.
Paige Grant had 13 points and
Kayla Javillo finished with 11 points.
The Lady Coyotes will play Snow again on Saturday, playing at 1:00 p.m.
