HENDERSON, Nev. (February 12, 2022) – A back-and-forth contest ended in a road loss for the College of Southern Nevada Women's Basketball team Saturday.
CSN fell in a 75-60 game at USU Eastern, finishing the regular season with a mark of 1-2 against the Lady Eagles. The Lady Coyotes are now 13-15 overall and 8-8 in Scenic West play. Southern Nevada is currently fifth in the latest SWAC standings.
A strong performance in the middle quarters lifted USU Eastern to the win, with the Lady Coyotes getting outscored 48-33 during the second-and-third quarters. CSN had its struggles offensively through the game, shooting just 34.8 percent from the field and just 4-of-16 from three-point range.
Even in the loss,
Destiny Brown posted a noteworthy performance for Southern Nevada, finishing with 26 points and 12 rebounds.
Kayla Javillo finished with 9 points and
Ayauna Scott had 7 points.
The Lady Coyotes will host a pair of Scenic West contenders at home next week, hosting Snow College and Southern Idaho in games at Democracy Prep.
