HENDERSON, Nev. (February 19, 2022) – A roller-coaster regular season ended in a loss for the College of Southern Nevada Women's Basketball team Saturday.
The Lady Coyotes fell in a 'Sophomore Day' matchup with No. 10 Southern Idaho, dropping 63-56 to CSI in the loss. Southern Nevada closed the regular season with a 14-16 record after the loss, posting a mark of 9-9 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
CSN posted a halftime lead, 35-33, with both teams heading into the fourth quarter tied at 46-46. Southern Idaho then limited the Lady Coyotes to just 3-of-12 shooting in the final period to end Southern Nevada's hope for victory.
Sharmayne Finley and
Destiny Brown both posted double-doubles in the loss, with Finley notching 18 points and 11 rebounds. Brown finished with 18 points and 13 rebounds.
CSN will now wait for its scheduled opponent in the upcoming Region 18 championships, which are posted to begin Wednesday at Salt Lake Community College.
