NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (February 3, 2022) – A Scenic West Athletic Conference home game proved to be the perfect homecoming platform for the College of Southern Nevada Women's Basketball team.
The Lady Coyotes earned a 98-47 win over Community Christian College Thursday, moving to a winning home record at the CSN Sports Center. Southern Nevada is now 11-14 overall and 6-7 in Scenic West play.
Defense dominated the storyline for the Lady Coyotes, with CSN limiting Community Christian to just 19.8 percent shooting for the night (17-of-86) and a mark of 1-of-12 from three-point range. CSN also scored 24 points off 22 CCC turnovers. Southern Nevada led 45-25 at halftime.
Destiny Brown posted one of her most dominant performances yet, finishing with 21 points and 18 rebounds.
Ayauna Scott and
Sharmayne Finley both scored 18 points, while
Destiny Byrd posted 12 points.
Kayla Javillo scored 10 points off the bench.
CSN will move on to host Colorado Northwestern at home on Saturday.
