HENDERSON, Nev. (January 12, 2023) – A cold Utah winter night was the site of a red-hot offensive performance by the College of Southern Nevada Women's Basketball team.
CSN opened a two-game weekend set with Snow College Thursday, earning a 75-63 game over the Lady Badgers. Southern Nevada is now 8-8 overall and 2-3 in Scenic West games.
The Lady Coyotes started well and never looked back, taking a narrow 33-30 halftime lead. CSN opened up its advantage in the third quarter, shooting 61.5 percent from the field and out-scoring the Lady Badgers, 19-8, to take the lead for good. CSN shot 58 percent from the field in the game, going 6-of-9 from three-point range.
Paige Grant posted a double-double of 21 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Lady Coyotes, while
Aaliyah Ibarra scored 16 points.
Jordyn Stroud finished with 14 points.f
Southern Nevada will finish play this weekend on Saturday, traveling to face No. 7 Southern Idaho.
