HENDERSON, Nev. (January 21, 2023) – A long weekend of college basketball ended with a disappointing loss for the College of Southern Nevada Men's Basketball team.
Playing its third game in four days, Southern Nevada dropped an 88-86 overtime decision to USU Eastern, leveling the season series between the teams at 1-1. The Coyotes are now 10-12 overall and 4-6 in Scenic West play.
In a back-and-forth game that saw 13 lead changes, CSN led 65-59 with 7:32 left in the second half, prior to USU Eastern coming back to tie the game and send it to overtime. From there, USU Eastern hit a shot at the buzzer to win the game.
Ray Daniels finished with 22 points to lead Southern Nevada.
Darren Jones scored 19 points, while
Anthony Swift had 11 points.
Kendrick Gilbert posted 10 points.
Southern Nevada will play a pair of road games next weekend, traveling to play at Community Christian.
