HENDERSON, Nev. (February 16, 2023) – A matchup with one of the nation's top ranked programs ended in a tough loss for the College of Southern Nevada Men's Basketball team.
Opening a two-game road trip at No. 7 Salt Lake, the Coyotes fell in a 98-87 loss to end the year with an 0-3 mark against the Bruins. The loss also drops CSN to 13-14 overall and 7-8 in Scenic West play.
CSN fell behind early and never recovered, trailing by double-digits for most of the game in spite of a strong offensive attack (54.3 percent shooting). The Coyotes committed 20 turnovers in the loss, going just 4-of-19 from three-point range.
In spite of the loss,
Darren Jones posted a monster double-double, finishing with 35 points and 12 rebounds.
Ray Daniels scored 19 points, while
Kendrick Gilbert and
Anthony Swift had 12 points each.
Southern Nevada will continue its weekend play on Saturday, traveling to play at No. 1 Southern Idaho.
