HENDERSON, Nev. (March 14, 2023) – A strong performance in a Scenic West Athletic Conference series has given the No. 16 CSN Baseball team considerable attention.
Southern Nevada swept through Southern Idaho, going 4-0 in a series that has powered the Coyotes to 6-2 in league play. In response to their overall success, CSN swept the Scenic West's weekly awards, as
Hunter Katschke earned 'Player-of-the-Week' honors and
Evan Bunevich was named 'Pitcher-of-the-Week'.
Katschke, a Basic Academy graduate, hit .529 in the CSI series. He hit three home runs, scored seven runs, and had ten RBI's. Bunevich threw eight innings in his only start of the weekend, posting nine strikeouts and only allowing a single run in an 8-1 win.
Southern Nevada will travel to play a series at Community Christian College this weekend.
