The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) Women's Basketball team continued their winning start to the season, securing an impressive 64-35 win over Chandler-Gilbert Community College. The Coyotes' stifling defense and balanced scoring paved the way for a commanding victory, moving them to a 2-0 record.

First Half Defensive Showcase

The Coyotes jumped out to a quick 19-9 lead in the first quarter, with Kayla Terry and Trysta Barrett establishing their presence early. CSN's defensive pressure was relentless, especially in the second quarter, where they held Chandler-Gilbert to just two points. By halftime, CSN had built a significant 35-11 lead, with key contributions from Terry, who led the scoring with 14 points and nine rebounds.

Third Quarter: Maintaining Control

The third quarter saw Chandler-Gilbert attempt to close the gap, but CSN's defense stayed firm. Barrett continued her stellar performance, adding to her total of 11 points and leading the team with four steals. Selina Gutierrez, with her efficiency from beyond the arc, contributed 10 points and kept the Coyotes' offense running smoothly, as CSN extended their lead to 49-24 by the end of the third.
