North Las Vegas, NV -October 10, 2025— The College of Southern Nevada volleyball team delivered an inspired effort on Friday evening, going point-for-point with nationally ranked No. 13 Eastern Arizona College in front of an energetic home crowd inside the Coyote Event Center. Despite falling 3–1 (18–25, 28–26, 11–25, 17–25), the Coyotes displayed exceptional fight, highlighted by an impressive second-set win that showcased their growth and team chemistry.
Sophomore
Dani Robinson powered the CSN offense with a match-high 21 kills, finding success from all areas of the court and keeping the Gila Monsters' defense on their heels.
Kimora Combes continued her strong play at the net with 15 kills, while
Emma Albright and
Paige Gates contributed timely attacks to fuel CSN's second-set rally.
Setter
Madison Ortiz led the way with 21 assists, effectively spreading the offense against one of the top defensive teams in the NJCAA.
Libbie Ferreiro also provided 19 assists and steady ball control in the dual-setter system.
On the back line,
Tia Alofipo anchored the Coyote defense with a team-best 22 digs, consistently keeping plays alive and turning defense into offense. Combes added 16 digs, while Robinson and Ortiz each chipped in with double-digit efforts. The Coyotes combined for 67 digs overall, showing improved communication and hustle throughout the match.
CSN's best stretch came in the second set, where the Coyotes refused to back down against the nationally ranked Gila Monsters. Behind a balanced offensive push and stellar serve-receive, the Coyotes battled through multiple deuce points to earn a thrilling 28–26 victory.
The Coyotes will have a quick turnaround as they face Eastern Arizona once again tomorrow, October 11, at 1:00 p.m. inside the Coyote Event Center. CSN looks to carry the momentum from its strong showing into Saturday's rematch as conference play continues in North Las Vegas.
