North Las Vegas, NV — The College of Southern Nevada volleyball team wrapped up its two-match home series against No. 13 Eastern Arizona College on Saturday afternoon inside the Coyote Event Center, continuing to show determination and energy against one of the nation's top programs. Despite a 3-0 setback (10-25, 11-25, 15-25), the Coyotes continued to build valuable experience as conference play moves into its second half.
Sophomore
Dani Robinson led the Coyotes with five kills, while
Emma Albright added four and
Gianna Jackson provided two efficient strikes.
Kimora Combes and
Reagan Vint gave CSN consistency at the net, helping to create scoring opportunities through long rallies and solid touches.
The Coyotes' serving game showed improvement, with
Tia Alofipo,
Libbie Ferreiro, and Robinson each recording aces. Ferreiro guided the offense with eight assists and continued to show poise as one of the team's primary setters, while
Madison Ortiz provided additional support and ball distribution.
Defensively, Alofipo again anchored the back row with a team-high 10 digs, while Combes, Robinson, and Jackson each contributed key defensive plays to keep rallies alive. The Coyotes' effort and communication on defense reflected the steady improvement Head Coach and staff have emphasized throughout the season.
Following back-to-back battles against a nationally ranked opponent, the Coyotes will now turn their focus to the road as they travel to Coolidge, Arizona, for a two-match series against Central Arizona College on October 17 and 18.
CSN continues to build momentum through its competitive schedule, using each match as an opportunity to strengthen chemistry and prepare for a strong finish to the regular season.
