Prescott, AZ — The College of Southern Nevada volleyball team wrapped up its two-match road series in Prescott, Arizona, on Saturday afternoon, showing continued growth and competitive energy in a three-set battle with Yavapai College. The Coyotes dropped the contest 0-3 (23-25, 20-25, 18-25), but demonstrated improved execution and strong defensive play throughout the match.
Sophomore
Dani Robinson led the Coyote attack with eight kills, while
Reagan Vint and
Kimora Combes each chipped in five. Freshman
Isabella Pereira-Liugalua added five more kills and showed her usual energy on the outside, giving CSN several key points in extended rallies. Setter
Madison Ortiz paced the offense with 12 assists and added two service aces, while
Libbie Ferreiro contributed six assists of her own in a steady two-setter system.
Defensively,
Tia Alofipo anchored the back row with an impressive 18 digs, controlling Yavapai's tough serves and helping CSN transition into offense effectively. Vint and Robinson added key digs of their own, while Combes and Alofipo both displayed quick reactions to keep long rallies alive.
The Coyotes continued to build rhythm and chemistry in their second straight matchup against a tough Roughrider squad, showing positive adjustments from Friday night's match. Their energy on the court and team-first approach reflected the steady development Head Coach and staff have emphasized throughout the season.
With several strong individual efforts and improved team play, CSN will now turn its focus to the home court as they return to the CSN Coyote Event Center on Friday, October 10, hosting Eastern Arizona College in a key conference matchup.
