North Las Vegas, NV — October 7, 2025 — The College of Southern Nevada Men's Soccer team turned in a complete performance Tuesday night, earning a 2-0 victory over Yavapai College in ACCAC play at the Cheyenne Sports Complex.
The Coyotes wasted no time getting on the board as
Enrique Reyes-Avila scored in the second minute off an assist from
Alan Pacheco, giving CSN an early 1-0 lead. Later in the first half,
Ian Martinez doubled the advantage in the 42nd minute with a composed finish set up by
Matias Martinez, providing the Coyotes with all the offense they would need.
Defensively, Southern Nevada was dominant from start to finish. Goalkeeper
Aldair Castelo made several key stops to preserve the clean sheet, while the back line anchored by
Alan Carmona,
Sean Escamilla, and
Alan Ferreyra kept the Roughriders' attack off balance all evening.
The win marks CSN's first ACCAC victory of the season, improving the Coyotes to 5-5 overall and 1-5 in conference play.
The Coyotes will be back at the Cheyenne Sports Complex on Saturday, October 11th at 7:00 p.m. when they host Eastern Arizona College. Before the match, the Coyotes will honor their Sophomore class in a special pregame ceremony.
