North Las Vegas, NV — October 7, 2025 — The College of Southern Nevada Women's Soccer team showed strong effort and created numerous scoring opportunities Tuesday evening but ultimately fell 4-1 to Yavapai College in ACCAC play at the Cheyenne Sports Complex.
The Lady Coyotes came out aggressive offensively, out shooting Yavapai 20–15 and generating 11 shots on goal. Their persistence paid off midway through the first half when
Kate Oliva found the back of the net in the 22nd minute, finishing a perfect pass from
Nathaly Perez-Rodriguez to even the score at 1-1.
Yavapai responded with a trio of second-half goals, but the Coyotes continued to press forward, led by strong performances from
Savannah Foschetti and
Valeria Castillo, who combined for seven shots on goal. Goalkeeper
Madison English recorded three saves while facing steady pressure from the Roughriders' attack.
Despite the final score, the match highlighted CSN's offensive potential and resiliency, as the team continues to grow stronger deep into the ACCAC schedule.
With the result, the Lady Coyotes move to 2-6-1 overall and 1-5-1 in ACCAC play.
The Coyotes return to action on Saturday, October 11th at 4:30 p.m. as they host Eastern Arizona College at the Cheyenne Sports Complex. Before the match, the Lady Coyotes will honor their Sophomore class in a special pregame ceremony.
