PHOENIX, Ariz. — The College of Southern Nevada Women's Basketball team picked up a hard-fought road win Thursday evening, edging Phoenix College 63–60 in a back-and-forth battle that came down to the final minutes. The victory pushes the Lady Coyotes to 3–2 overall as they continue their Arizona road swing.
Forward
Trista Mabry delivered one of her strongest performances of the young season, pouring in 21 points while collecting a game-high 11 rebounds for a double-double. Mabry's physical presence inside—highlighted by 3 offensive boards—helped CSN control key possessions in a tightly contested matchup.
Standout
Saroiya Ajomale continued her early-season momentum, scoring 19 points on an efficient 8-of-15 shooting night. Ajomale's ability to finish at the rim and her defensive activity (3 steals) proved vital during several game-changing stretches.
Guard
Satsuki Bradley added 10 points, knocking down three triples. Her timely perimeter shooting provided an offensive spark in the first and third quarters, helping CSN answer Phoenix College scoring runs.
The Lady Coyotes came out firing, posting 24 first-quarter points to take an early lead. After Phoenix College countered with a strong second and third quarter, CSN entered the fourth trailing by two.
CSN locked in defensively, holding the Bears to just six points over the final ten minutes while scoring 18 themselves. Rebounding was a major factor—CSN won the battle on the glass 47–33, with
Leah Mitchell (8 rebounds),
Mya Harper (6 rebounds), and
Alanna Jackson (8 rebounds) all contributing to the dominance on the boards.
Late free throws and tough interior buckets from Mabry and Ajomale secured the win as the Coyotes closed out the road contest with poise.
Balanced Contributions Across the Lineup
