November 1, 2025 – Twin Falls, Idaho- The College of Southern Nevada Men's Basketball team continued its opening weekend at the College of Southern Idaho Tournament with a spirited performance against perennial powerhouse and nationally ranked No. 17 College of Southern Idaho, falling 103–73 on Saturday evening inside the CSI Gymnasium.
Guard
Ivoryon Cuffee delivered a standout effort for the Coyotes, pouring in 28 points on 9-of-20 shooting and 10-of-13 from the free-throw line. Cuffee attacked relentlessly, scoring in transition and at the rim while providing veteran leadership against one of the nation's top teams.
Fellow guard
Ryan Raad added 16 points and 6 rebounds, connecting on 4-of-7 from beyond the arc, while Demarion Yap followed with 13 points, including four three-pointers, and a pair of steals.
Qualib Ghallab was strong off the bench, posting 8 points and 11 rebounds, giving CSN a physical presence on the glass.
The Coyotes went toe-to-toe with CSI through much of the first half, trailing just 38–32 at the break after hitting four triples and knocking down 10-of-14 free throws. CSN's defensive effort and poise kept the game close against a deep CSI lineup known for its size and tempo.
In the second half, Cuffee sparked a surge with 17 points, while Yap and Raad combined for several timely threes to keep the Coyotes within reach. Despite CSI's 62% second-half shooting, CSN battled to the final horn, showcasing depth and determination in their second game in as many days.
CSN finished the night shooting 40% from the field and 40% from three-point range, while outrebounding CSI 36–35 on the defensive glass. The Coyotes also displayed improved ball movement with 16 assists and solid composure from their bench unit, which contributed 13 points.
The Coyotes (1–1) will return home to the Coyote Event Center for their 2025–26 home opener on Friday, November 7, hosting Grand Canyon University Club at 7:30 p.m. on the North Las Vegas campus.
