North Las Vegas, NV (November 8, 2025) The College of Southern Nevada Men's Basketball team continued its strong early-season form Saturday afternoon, defeating Grand Canyon University Club 99-87 inside the Coyote Event Center. The win lifts CSN to 3-1 overall, closing out its home stand before heading on the road next week.

The Coyotes put together one of their most complete offensive performances of the young season, shooting an impressive 62.1% from the field and 57.1% from three-point range. CSN used a strong first half to build a 45-33 advantage and maintained its rhythm in the second half as both teams scored 54 points apiece.

Three Coyotes reached the 20-point mark in a balanced effort:
  • Demarion Yap was electric, scoring 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting, including 4-for-6 from beyond the arc, while adding five assists and two steals.
  • Ryan Raad was dominant in the paint and on the break, finishing with 20 points, eight rebounds, and five steals.
  • Qualib Ghallab provided a huge spark off the bench with 20 points of his own, going 8-for-10 from the floor and adding four rebounds and a block.
Guard Ivoryon Cuffee turned in another well-rounded performance with 13 points, a team-high nine assists, four rebounds, and two steals. Gerald Patterson added 10 points, six boards, and five assists, giving CSN a steady interior presence.

Drake Watanabe and Myron Hubbard also gave the Coyotes valuable minutes off the bench, combining for 10 points and timely defensive energy.

The Coyotes shared the ball at a high level, registering 31 assists on 41 made field goals while forcing 15 GCU turnovers that led to 23 CSN points. Defensively, CSN tallied 12 steals and limited GCU's scoring runs to keep the visitors at bay.

CSN's largest lead of the afternoon came midway through the second half at 27 points, showcasing its ability to separate with high-efficiency scoring and disciplined defense.

The Coyotes will now hit the road, traveling to Phoenix, Arizona to face Phoenix College on Thursday, November 13. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m. as CSN looks to continue building momentum early in the 2025-26 campaign.
