NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. — The College of Southern Nevada Lady Coyotes closed the CSN Women's Basketball Holiday Invitational in emphatic fashion Wednesday afternoon, rolling past Colorado Northwestern Community College 84–50 at the Coyote Event Center.
CSN controlled the game from start to finish, using defensive pressure, dominance on the glass, and balanced scoring to secure its 10th win of the season. The Lady Coyotes improved to 10–3 overall, while Colorado Northwestern fell to 1–13.
The Lady Coyotes set the tone early, holding Colorado Northwestern to just nine points in the opening quarter while building a 19–9 lead. CSN's defense tightened even further in the second period, limiting the Spartans to four points and taking a 31–13 advantage into halftime.
Colorado Northwestern found a brief offensive rhythm in the third quarter, but CSN answered every run and carried a 55–36 lead into the final period. The Lady Coyotes then put the game away with a 29-point fourth quarter, shooting 65 percent from the floor over the final 10 minutes.
Saroiya Ajomale delivered a standout performance to lead CSN, finishing with a game-high 26 points and 15 rebounds to go along with four assists and two blocks. Alanna Jackson posted a dominant double-double with 16 points and a career-high 20 rebounds, anchoring the Lady Coyotes inside on both ends of the floor.
Alana Conner added 13 points, while Mya Harper provided a spark off the bench with 12 points, knocking down four three-pointers. Satsuki Bradley chipped in five points and five assists, and Leah Mitchell contributed four points, six rebounds, and five assists as CSN finished with 70 rebounds and 19 second-chance points.
CSN shot 39.1 percent from the field and held Colorado Northwestern to 30.3 percent shooting, while also forcing 14 turnovers. The Spartans were led by Shyann Farbes with 13 points and Taylor Jones with 11, but struggled to keep pace with the Lady Coyotes' depth and interior presence.
With the victory, CSN wrapped up the three-day Holiday Invitational on a high note. The Lady Coyotes will now break for the holidays before returning to action after the first of the year as conference play approaches.
