NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. — The College of Southern Nevada men's basketball team put together one of its most complete performances of the season Tuesday night, overwhelming Perazen Prep Academy 123–77 at the Coyote Event Center to tip off the 2026 calendar.
CSN (9–5) set the tone early and never looked back, racing out to a 63–40 halftime advantage before pouring in 60 second-half points to cruise to the 46-point victory. The Coyotes shot 51.2 percent from the floor and connected on 18 three-pointers, while also dominating the glass with a 65–29 rebounding edge.
Sophomore guard
Ryan Raad led all scorers with a game-high 33 points, knocking down 6-of-8 from beyond the arc and a perfect 5-for-5 at the free throw line. Raad added eight rebounds and four assists in a well-rounded effort that keyed CSN's fast start.
The Coyotes showcased their depth throughout the night, placing seven players in double figures.
Drake Watanabe provided a spark off the bench with 27 points, drilling seven three-pointers, while
Gerald Patterson posted a strong interior performance with 22 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists.
Maximus Romero nearly recorded a double-double, finishing with 18 points and 11 assists, as CSN consistently pushed the pace and shared the ball.
CSN's pressure defense also played a major role, forcing 20 turnovers that led to 25 points, while the Coyotes controlled the paint and second-chance opportunities. The bench contributed 57 points, underscoring the balance and depth of the Coyotes' rotation.
Perazen Prep was paced by Elijah DaCuma, who scored 22 points, and Jesse Judkins, who added 19, but the visitors were unable to keep pace with CSN's efficiency and tempo.
With the non-conference slate now complete, the Coyotes turn their attention to ACCAC play. CSN will travel to Douglas, Arizona, to open conference action with a two-game series against Cochise College on Thursday, January 8, and Friday, January 9.
