James Hernandez"Morse Magic" is alive and well for the College of Southern Nevada as they won their fourth consecutive home game. The bats stayed hot for the Coyotes today as they used some timely hitting to plate seven runs against the visiting Roughriders.
Catcher
Drew Newson stole the show with home runs in his first two plate appearances and
Brody Westmoreland went yard for the third time this season to bring the Coyotes home run total to ten in 25 innings so far this home stand.
Freshman starter
Mikey York set the tone early, striking out six batters and allowing just a single run in 3.1 innings of work.
Todd Danzeisen earned the victory for CSN and 2015 SWAC reliever of the year Alec "Super" Hutt shut the door on the Roughriders for good with 3.1 innings of scoreless relief that included five strikeouts.
The 2016 Coyote Slug Out concludes tomorrow afternoon as CSN takes on Prairie Baseball Academy at 12:30 pm.
