James HernandezThe final game of the weekend for the Coyotes was plagued with inconsistent play and untimely mistakes.
After taking a 3-2 into the top of the fourth inning the Coyotes allowed the Spartans to send a dozen batters to the plate and after the dust settled CNCC held a commanding 11-3 advantage.
The Coyote defense was spotty at the worst of times and four team errors put the Coyotes in a hole too deep to climb out of.
Offensively the Coyotes were paced by
Kara Simpson who had a team high three hits including a solo homer in the bottom of the fifth inning. Taylor Reidhead pitched her second consecutive complete game of the afternoon to earn the victory for the Spartans.
The loss was the third consecutive for CSN and dropped the Coyotes to 1-3 in conference play and 7-6 overall.
The Coyotes will host Snow College this weekend, for more information please log onto www.csncoyotes.com or follow us on Twitter @CSNCoyotes.
