James HernandezPitching was the theme of Military Appreciation Weekend for the Coyotes here at Morse Stadium and the series finale between CSN and USU-Eastern was no different.
Tyler Hallead took the mound in the final game of the weekend and pitched five strong innings, allowing just a single run and striking out four.
Left fielder
Kaid Urban led the charge offensively for the Coyotes with a pair of RBI's with his team scoring at least one run in four consecutive innings.
However, the afternoon belonged to sophomore closer
Alec Hutt.
He saved both games of the doubleheader to cement his place in school history as the Coyotes all-time saves leader with 11.
CSN defeated USU-Eastern 5-3 in the final game of the weekend.
The Coyotes improved their season record to 34-9 overall and 24-4 in SWAC play.
