Henderson, NV - The Bruins and Spartans opened up day two Region 18 with the winner securing a spot in the championship game Saturday afternoon.

Trever Berg got the nod for the Spartans and was opposed by the Bruins Sterling Lay.

CNCC plated the first four runs of the game, but the Bruins were unfazed. After getting into the Spartans bullpen Salt Lake struck for seven runs over the last three innings to comeback and stun the Spartans.

Jacob Thurber and Kody Hall led the Bruins offensive charge with a pair of RBI's, Mitch Berryhill and Kam Lane chipped in with an RBI apiece.

With the victory the Bruins secured a berth in the 2017 Region 18 title game Saturday afternoon.
