HENDERSON, Nev. (October 3, 2019) – The College of Southern Nevada men's soccer team had a breakout performance in Colorado Saturday, breaking a losing streak and rebuilding confidence with a strong win.
Yes, CSN's 5-0 win over Colorado Northwestern Community College was a step in the right direction as the team tries to go on a winning streak through the next part of Scenic West Athletic Conference play. The Coyotes are currently in a tie for third place in the league, with a a mark of 1-2-2.

Geoff Hawkins said the win his team had was a boost as they prepare for the second phase of Scenic West play.
"Converting on our scoring opportunities against CNCC really helped boost our confidence as we approach our rematch against Snow College," he said.
Southern Nevada will open with travel partner Snow College in their only match this week. Snow is just behind league-leader Salt Lake, with a Scenic West record of 4-1. The Badgers defeated the Coyotes by a mark of 1-0 in the league opener for both teams, with Snow on a four-match winning streak after that.
The match against Snow will start at 10:00 a.m. in Ephraim on Saturday. The match is the midpoint of a five-match road trip for the Coyotes. Southern Nevada's next home match is scheduled for Oct. 17 against Colorado Northwestern Community College.
