HENDERSON, Nev. (November 17, 2022) – The College of Southern Nevada Women's Soccer team had high hopes entering the 2022 season, only to see those hopes turn into nightmarish disappointment.
CSN entered the season with momentum, looking back at consistent growth from past years. However, a mixture of injuries and misfortune led the Lady Coyotes to a record of 1-14-1 overall and just 1-8-1 in Scenic West play, leading to an outcome few would have expected at the start of the year.
Looking back at the season, Southern Nevada coach Jocelyn Roach said the year was simply unbelievable.
"It just was absolutely not the season we imagined," she said. "It seemed like nothing went our way."
With last year in the rear-view mirror, Roach said the current team will spend its offseason building itself in conditioning.
"Based on our numbers, we will be in the weight room, and we will be focusing on off-the-ball tactics," she noted.
Besides working on the current team, Roach said she will spend her offseason mixing recruiting and engaging her program in off-the-field initiatives.
"My goals are very much so based on recruiting," she said. "We also will be in the community volunteering."
