College of Southern Nevada Welcomes Kantessa Bryant-Miller as New Women’s Volleyball Head Coach

Las Vegas, NV – The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) is proud to announce the appointment of Kantessa Bryant-Miller (known as Coach K)  as the new Head Coach of the Women's Volleyball team, marking a significant chapter as the fourth head coach in the history of the program. Coach K will begin her duties effective immediately, with a primary focus on recruiting and building a competitive team for the Fall 2025 season.

Coach K brings a wealth of volleyball experience and a profound dedication to the sport. With over 12 years as a player and nearly five years in coaching roles, her career has been marked by significant achievements and a deep commitment to athlete development. Currently, she is the lead scout for Prepdig Nevada and the head volleyball coach for the 16U team at Underrated Volleyball in North Las Vegas. Her recent accomplishments include leading her 14U team to a first-place finish at the prestigious "In It To Win It" tournament in Las Vegas, and securing second place in two additional tournaments.

Prior to her tenure in Nevada, Coach K spent two years with the Skyline Juniors in Texas, where she coached the highly competitive 11 and under club team to top-three finishes in multiple tournaments. She is a graduate of Mississippi Valley State University, where she played collegiate volleyball and was a two-time Preseason SWAC Player of the Year, as well as leading the nation in service aces in 2008.

Yvonne Wade, Director of Athletics and Recreation at CSN, expressed her enthusiasm for the new appointment, stating, "I am excited to have Coach K join the Coyote family. Her passion for volleyball and student athlete development is undeniable and her championship mentality is what we need to move our program to the next level."

Coach K also shared her thoughts on joining CSN: "I am deeply honored to join the College of Southern Nevada as the new Head Volleyball coach. I'm excited about the opportunity to rebuild this program and establish a winning culture. My mission is to guide our players in achieving their goals. I am committed to helping them excel both academically and athletically through dedication, discipline, and hard work."

Her approach to coaching emphasizes daily improvement, skill enhancement, and holistic athlete development, incorporating strength, agility, and mental health alongside volleyball training. Her network across the Las Vegas metro and Reno areas is a testament to her ability to connect with and attract top talent, promising a bright future for CSN Volleyball.

Under Coach K's leadership, CSN looks forward to elevating the women's volleyball program, enhancing its competitive edge, and fostering a positive environment for all players. The College and its athletic department are excited to see the growth and successes that will surely come from her guidance and expertise.
