HENDERSON, Nev. – The College of Southern Nevada Athletic Department continued its tradition of academic excellence during the 2025-26 academic year as four Coyote programs earned NJCAA Academic Team of the Year honors and 47 student-athletes received NJCAA All-Academic recognition, the National Junior College Athletic Association announced.
The NJCAA annually recognizes institutions, athletic teams and student-athletes that demonstrate exceptional achievement in the classroom. Team honors are awarded to programs that post a cumulative grade point average of 3.00 or higher, while individual All-Academic recognition is presented to student-athletes who achieve outstanding academic performance throughout the academic year.
CSN's four honored programs represented four different sports and reflected the department's commitment to excellence in both academics and athletics.

The Coyotes also enjoyed one of the most successful individual academic performances in recent program history, with 47 student-athletes earning NJCAA All-Academic distinction.
Among those honorees, 12 student-athletes achieved a perfect 4.00 GPA to earn NJCAA First Team All-Academic honors. An additional 19 Coyotes were named to the Second Team with grade point averages between 3.80 and 3.99, while 16 student-athletes earned Third Team recognition by posting GPAs between 3.60 and 3.79.

Academic success was evident throughout the CSN athletic department, with nine sports represented among the individual honorees. Baseball led all programs with 14 All-Academic selections, followed by Softball (11), Women's Basketball (7) and Women's Soccer (6). Women's Cross Country produced three honorees, while Men's Cross Country and Men's Soccer each had two student-athletes recognized. Men's Basketball and Volleyball each added one All-Academic selection.

The accomplishments highlight the balance CSN student-athletes maintain between collegiate competition and academic success. While competing at one of the nation's premier junior college athletic programs, Coyote student-athletes continue to excel in the classroom, demonstrating the discipline, time management and commitment required to succeed at the collegiate level.
The recognition also reflects the collaborative efforts of coaches, faculty, academic advisors and support staff who work throughout the year to ensure student-athletes have the resources necessary to thrive academically while representing the College of Southern Nevada in competition.
The NJCAA Academic Awards are among the association's highest annual academic honors, recognizing institutions and student-athletes who exemplify excellence in the classroom while competing at the highest level of junior college athletics.
