Following a pair of home losses this past weekend to the Eagles and Spartans, the Lady Coyotes set their sights on Ephraim, Utah for a conference clash versus the 9
th ranked Snow College Badgers.
The match began with both teams battling to claim the upper-hand in the first matchup of the season between the Coyotes and Badgers. Southern Nevada was in the opening set until Snow put together a run to claim the opening set of the match (12-25). An experienced group of Badger's continued to dominate play around the net, keeping CSN guessing as they claimed the second set (13-25). Set three was more of the same for Snow College as they used its height advantage to keep balls alive and keep the Lady Coyotes on the defensive. The strategy worked to perfection as Snow College defeated Southern Nevada in straight sets (12-25, 13-25 and 13-25) to extend CSN's losing streak to six matches.
Standouts for CSN included
Rachel Chambers (6 kills),
Carlee Becker (6 assists) and
Esmeralda Solano (9 digs).
Coyote fans make plans to pack "the den" Thursday evening and Saturday afternoon when your Lady Coyotes host 11
th Salt Lake CC Bruins and 4
th ranked College of Southern Idaho Golden Eagles in high-level Scenic West Athletic Conference action.
