PRESCOTT, Ariz. — March 21, 2026 — The College of Southern Nevada closed out a dominant four-game ACCAC road series with a 6–2 victory over Yavapai College in Saturday's finale, completing the sweep and improving to 21–11 overall and 10–2 in conference play.
The Lady Coyotes set the tone early, scoring two runs in the opening inning. Jaydah Chun led off with a single and later came around to score, while Chloe Tepraseuth contributed to the early rally to give CSN a 2–0 lead.
CSN added two more runs in the second inning to extend the advantage to 4–0, capitalizing on timely hitting and continued pressure on the basepaths.
Yavapai cut into the deficit in the third inning, plating two runs to make it 4–2, but the Lady Coyotes responded by regaining momentum.
In the fifth inning, CSN added an insurance run, and the Coyotes broke the game open in the sixth inning. Mattingly Mauzey, Chloe Tepraseuth, and Destinee Lopez all contributed during the rally, with Tepraseuth delivering a key extra-base hit to help extend the lead to 6–2.
CSN finished with 10 hits in the contest. Chun led the offense with two hits and scored twice, while Mariela Rodriguez added two hits and an RBI. Lopez recorded two hits, and Tepraseuth contributed a home run and two RBIs. Ellie Leatham added a hit and an RBI, and Payten Benson chipped in with a hit and a run scored.
In the circle, Brooklynn Richardson turned in a strong performance, tossing a complete game and allowing two runs on five hits while striking out five. According to the box score, Richardson worked all seven innings and limited Yavapai to two runs on five hits in the win.
The Lady Coyotes controlled the series from start to finish, outscoring Yavapai across all four games and continuing their strong run through ACCAC play.
CSN will return home next weekend to host Eastern Arizona College in a four-game ACCAC series at Lady Coyote Field, beginning Friday with a doubleheader followed by another doubleheader on Saturday.
