HENDERSON, Nev. (October 30, 2019) – The College of Southern Nevada volleyball team will return home for its final homestand before next week's Region 18 championships.
The Lady Coyotes will host Colorado Northwestern Community College and nationally-ranked USU Eastern to close the regular season, setting up two final matches on the CSN Sports Center floor before the program travels to Ephraim for next week's Region 18 championships.
CSN interim coach
Jessica Diehl said she is excited for her team's final homestand.
Thursday's match against CNCC will serve as an opportunity for CSN to pick up its first league win. Colorado Northwestern earned a 3-1 win over Southern Nevada in Rangely, Colo., a few weeks ago and is just 1-7 in league play compared to CSN's 0-8. Saturday will prove to be no easy task for the Lady Coyotes as they will face nationally-ranked USU Eastern, who has risen just behind league-leading Snow College in the standings.
Besides serving as the final home stand for the Lady Coyotes, this weekend's matches will also feature a variety of promotional events for CSN fans to take part in. First, Southern Nevada will host a 'Kids Day Costume Contest' against CNCC on Oct. 31, followed up with Saturday's match against USU Eastern being a 'Sophomore Day White Out' for the program.
CSN's Thursday match against Colorado Northwestern is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start inside the CSN Sports Center. Saturday's match against USU Eastern will begin at 1:00 p.m.
