HENDERSON, Nev. (September 2, 2021) – Scheduled contests roll on for the College of Southern Nevada Athletic Department, with several important matchups facing the program.
Both CSN's Men's-and-Women's Soccer programs will open Scenic West Athletic Conference play with matches Thursday, while the Southern Nevada Cross Country program will compete for the first time in program history.

Cross Country: History will be made this weekend in CSN Athletics, as the Coyotes and Lady Coyotes prepare to make their way to the starting line in the newly-sanctioned Cross Country program.
Southern Nevada will run in the CSI Classic Friday, opening their Fall 2021 season with the College of Southern Idaho-hosted meet. CSN will compete in five meets throughout the season, with the NJCAA National Championships scheduled in November.

Bryan Astudillo said his team is excited to race. "We are most excited about making history and starting this program for many years to come," he said. "These athletes have worked real hard all summer and I can't be any prouder of this group being the first group to suit up for CSN Cross Country."
Men's Soccer: Southern Nevada will open Scenic West Athletic Conference play in a matchup at Colorado Northwestern Thursday.
The match is part of a three-match road trip, with CSN playing at Laramie County Community College on Friday and Casper College on Saturday. The Coyotes are 0-2 to this point on the season.
Women's Soccer: The Lady Coyotes head out on the road for a three-matches-in-three-days stretch, beginning with their Scenic West Athletic Conference opener Thursday.
Southern Nevada will face off against Colorado Northwestern on Thursday, with follow-up matches at Laramie County Community College Friday and Casper College Saturday. CSN went 0-3 in their opening matches of the season.

Jocelyn Roach said her team is ready for the weekend's opportunities. "We are excited to open conference play this week on the road against CNCC," she said. "We also are looking forward to more non-conference games up in Wyoming against some very good teams in Laramie and Casper."
